My name is Yagmur. I’m a creative / animation director based in Los Angeles, CA.

About

I specialize in 2D & 3D animation, design and motion systems. With 14 years of experience in animation, I’ve had the chance to collaborate with great clients such as Microsoft, Amazon, Google, Nike and Under Armour, ranging from brand and product films to creative strategy and branding.

My background in art direction and motion helps me design, direct and animate, contributing hands-on work at any stage of the production. These days, I mostly direct – leading a team of animators, designers, art directors and copywriters, and building out creative strategy across a range of styles, from playful illustrations and motion design to sleek renders.

Outside of work, I live with my wife, our daughter and cat. I’m into murder mystery novels, old-school European adventure comics, punk rock (I play bass), and enjoy hiking and swimming.

I also wrote, directed and animated an independent short film in 2016, which got screened at major Oscar-qualifying film festivals around the globe, including New Orleans Film Festival and Montreal Film Festival.

2024 - present

In my current role, I develop the creative strategy and lead projects and campaigns for clients such as Microsoft, Amazon and LSEG. Projects include brand and product films, commercials and motion branding, where I am responsible for all aspects of the creative, and managing teams of designers, animators, copywriters and art directors to deliver top-level content. My day-to-day work also includes budgeting, resourcing and client pitches.

Warm & Fuzzy

Creative Director

2021 - 2024

As a hands-on creative lead at Warm & Fuzzy, I built out the creative direction on multi-level campaigns and projects from ideation to launch. Some clients include Nike, Google, Under Armour, TOMS and Zillow. I managed teams of designers, animators and VFX artists on multiple projects simultaneously, developed and presented concepts, style frames and visual strategy to clients and agencies.

As an art director at the marketing team, I led brand and product campaigns from concept to launch and oversaw the design team. I collaborated with internal and external teams to deliver cohesive creative across all platforms. My work also included concept development, style frames, and hands-on design and animation.
