Psycho Las Vegas

America’s Rock’n’Roll Bacchanal

Psycho Las Vegas is a 4-day music festival that takes over an entire Vegas hotel and casino for heavy metal and rock fans.

I had the pleasure of directing all branded animation content of the festival, which lived on many screens throughout the casino, in the rooms, on stages and on the strip for two consecutive years.

Overall, 200 unique designs and animations in a variety of sizes and formats with a different theme for each day are produced. The festival is held at Mandalay Bay Resort in 2021 and at Conrad Resorts World in the following year.

Viva Psycho!

All designs were built around Chip – festival’s official mascot. We brought new characters into the loop and introduced a theme for each day based on the overall genre of the music for that day. This edit showcases a selection of content we created across 2 festival years.

Visual Development

Initially, the client came to us with a few illustration works of Chip that they had commissioned previously. We built our direction around a couple of them to match the festival’s quirky spirit.

We went with 30’s rubber hose style with Vegas-themed characters and a modern touch, and produced over 30 original scenes with various paid media ratios and +100 props.

Have a project in mind?

Or just wanna talk about aliens, murder mystery books and punk rock?
